Interview
Prongs is a Seattle / Bellingham based DJ/Producer. Leaning towards the emotional and chill side of electronic music, his productions and mixes consistently deliver a story that you can get lost in.
What have you been up to?
The end of 2017 / Early 2018 has been a humbling whirlwind for me, I opened for Illenium, Oshi, Alexander Lewis, y2k, Electric Mantis, and Vindata, all artists that I really look up to and respect. I recently moved back to Bellingham from Seattle, and am working on an EP that will come out in August.
How and where did you record your mix?
I recorded this mix in my room, windows open, looking into the forest behind my house using a traktor s4.
Tell us a bit about the mix!
This mix features a lot of music that has strong emotional memories for me, arranged in a way to flow as seamlessly as possible. I tried to throw in some unlikely songs you don't normally hear in a DJ set that have always been important to me, as well as some originals and a lot of personal edits.
What are you up to next?
Working on an EP that will come out in August, releasing a new mix in my Existence mix series, and supporting the Field Trip and Hear / Say nights at Q nightclub.
