Interview
I'm very excited for this mix to premier the work of a new Pacific Northwest project called Klose from a Peace Portal alumni formerly known as Prongs. Blending refreshing sounds inspired by Anjuna Deep, Caspar has supplied an uplifting mix of 4/4 dance music, including several edits, and an original off of his upcoming EP due out April 1st.
What have you been up to?
I took a step back from what I was doing musically with the Prongs project, and dove headfirst into old playlists that first inspired me to produce music and DJ back in 2008. The experiences and memories I have associated with those songs inspired me to reimagine what I wanted to do with my music, and here we are.
Tell us a bit about the mix!
I wanted to try and incorporate new music that I’ve been vibing with and seeing how it would pair with classics that I’ve loved for a while. I love the feeling of renewal and growth that spring gives us, so I wanted to try and capture that into an hour mix.
Where are you at when you’re not behind the decks?
I spend a lot of time with my dog, skiing, and enjoying everything about Bellingham.
What are you listening to when you’re not in the mix?
I listen to a lot of cinematic music, soundtracks, music from when I was a kid, and lofi hip hop. Anything with a piano and strings is choice.
What are you up to next?
I’m putting the finishing touches on a 3 song EP that will be out on all platforms April 1st. I included one of the 3 in this mix that I’m really happy with, and am even more excited with the other 2, and can’t wait to share them.
