Ferdinand Domes ‘Horror Childs Orient” Out Now via Berlin’s Get Together

Feu du Camp

December 2, 2020

A departure from his dust-funk house productions on Nómada Records, ‘Horror Childs Orient’ reflects Ferdinand’s recent affinity for the left field. Recorded on analog hardware, bounced to tape, and shaped by various guitar pedals, is a deep space voyage around the Local Group and back.

Organic arrangements of sound each sent into a unique orbit about the listener’s field of sonic perception, the tracks on this record are insomniac audio meditations for the intellect. On tracks Null01 and Five AM, Ferdinand aims his instruments at glistening nebulae of stardust for blissed out binaural excursions. Meanwhile, DFAN, Jus Midi, and Tune Conga are anxious moments in between galaxies where even the brightest lightwaves struggle to shine. Yet before you’re adrift long, 141:118 and MSTD emit warped frequencies to transport the audible craft to its next destination.

Stream ‘Horror Childs Orient’ below, or pick it up digitally, and in it’s exclusive 50-cassette run via Get Together’s Bandcamp page.
