The movie follows Emerald Berger, Hollywood's latest "it-girl" as she attempts to escape the fame she's gained. When a tabloid digs into an unexposed vulnerability, her dissociation spirals more deeply than intended. Hannan's use of tense ambience and anxious rhythms perfectly capture the descent into induced isolation.
